VALLS BIGORRA PINTOR

Tomás Valls Bigorra was born in Tarragona in 1951. As a child he already stood out for his love of drawing and painting. He studied for 5 years at the Tarragona Art School, but later his profession drifted towards a sector other than painting, although He never stopped losing contact with Art.

Tomás Valls, after his professional stage and retirement arrived, discovered his exceptional artistic talent with painting, which he had dormant for many years, beginning an amazing artistic stage, precisely at that apparently late age and demonstrating that it is never too late in life to do extraordinary things.

He adopted his stage name in memory, honor and emotionality of his paternal and maternal surnames, and signed his works as Valls Bigorra.

Valls Bigorra's work can be classified as impressionist in his still lifes of grapes and roses, and somewhat naïve in his landscapes that show a freshness, vitality and aesthetic content that connect in a very special way with the viewer.

He has been selected by the La Catedral Art Gallery in Tarragona, as a very special example of an emerging painter, and has exhibited his work with great success from the public and critics, of which he is already part of the private collection and museum of the Gallery.
