Myriam Arnold
Myriam Arnold was born in Tarragona in 1966. From a very young age she was interested in art, and soon began her artistic training that lasted about 10 years, first at the Carmen Alquézar drawing and painting school, to then continue her studies in the Tarragona art school, although after various evolutions that have led him to reach the current path of maturity of his work, he considers himself artistically self-taught.
She uses paint and other materials as means to capture her world of children's characters, tender and full of emotions, with stories inspired by everyday life, which the artist surrounds with a dreamlike and romantic atmosphere.
In her studio, the characters she paints accompany her, vibrating and dancing, integrating into her world between dream, magic and life, listening to classical music, especially Bach and Viváldi, to achieve total harmony of the senses.
She has a pictorial style that could come close to being classified as naïve symbolist, it is a very characteristic style, her work has a very unique and easily recognizable personality, full of a special magic that makes the viewer fall in love.
She is also dedicated to teaching work, she organizes painting workshops in which she transmits her extensive artistic knowledge in her classes.
She has held multiple exhibitions, both individual and group, both in Catalonia and Spain, as well as internationally in Europe and Asia, among which those held in England and Taiwan stand out recently.
Myriam Arnold presents in the Art Gallery La Catedral de Tarragona, a collection of eighteen paintings and small sculptures selected especially for this exhibition.
The exhibition wants to have as spectators all citizens, collectors and all especially sensitive people who enjoy and communicate with the beauty and poetry that arises from art.
