KEIXETA PINTOR

Txiki Aguirre Gárate, born in Arrona in 1963, is a painter and ceramic sculptor whose artistic name is Keixeta. He has a solid academic background, but is basically a self-taught artist who studied the features, manners and lines of the artists who have been his teachers, but he has never imitated them, but rather they have been a learning experience and subconscious references for him to follow his personal and special path, as great artists do.
Keixeta's pictorial world is made up of a double, always personal look at the landscape and based on hard work, continuous research and conceptual elaboration, he achieves an abstraction of reality, very special and sublime in his works that, as a great master, leaves no observer indifferent.
Since 1980, he has held individual and collective exhibitions, such as in Pamplona, Madrid, Marbella, Galicia, among others.
