CARME PI PINTORA

Carme Pi Virgili was born in Tarragona in 1956. She began painting at a very young age in a self-taught manner, later expanding her knowledge at the Art School of the Provincial Council of Tarragona, where she studied five years of pictorial procedures, and one more year of specialization in low relief and gold leaf. He had as teachers the eminent artists Josép Icárt, Tomás Olivar, Lluis Saumells, among others. Since his first exhibition in 1973, he has not stopped working, evolving his work, and showing it in all of his individual and group exhibitions. Carme Pi is a painter who has her art studio in the Upper Town of Tarragona. Her work is basically surrealist in style, and in it she captures, with her special sensitivity, her internal feelings, her dreams and her emotion for the painting.
