ANTONIO CABELLO PINTOR
Antonio Cabello was born in Córdoba in 1962. He trained artistically in the workshop of his father and teacher, the sculptor Manuel Cabello Pastor, studying for 3 courses at the School of Arts and Crafts in Córdoba. He later moved to live in Catalonia and currently resides in Salou.
At the age of 18 he had his first solo exhibition and since then he has continued his artistic and professional career, periodically holding both individual and collective exhibitions, both national and international, highlighting among the latter, the one at the Thuillier Gallery in Paris in the selection for the Premio Internazionale di arte Contemporánea and the one at Arte Expo Basel, Euroairport Basel.
Cabello's style can be classified as an expressionism between the figurative and the abstract. In his works the artist mixes different techniques and textures, especially material ones, to create the desired effect on the viewer, to whom he tries to transmit his philosophical reflections on the human being.
Throughout his artistic life he has obtained various awards in different cities, among which Calahorra and Cambrils stand out.
He has complemented painting with design, including the design of the costumes for the Diables de Salou in 1999. He has also created works of intervention in nature.
Antonio Cabello is an active and well-known artist, whose work appears in many private collections and institutions.
